Preakness Could Set Up as Rematch for Authentic, Tiz the Law

Derby Winner, Runner-Up Could be Headed for Showdown Oct. 3
 
BALTIMORE – Spendthrift Farm, MyRaceHorse Stable, Madaket Stables and Starlight Racing’s Authentic, upset winner of Saturday’s Kentucky Derby (G1), and beaten favorite Tiz the Law could be headed for a rematch in the 145th Preakness Stakes (G1) Saturday, Oct. 3 at Pimlico Race Course.
 

Friday's Stronach 5 Returns $4,690

Baltimore – The Stronach 5, which included a 1-2 favorite winning the last leg, still rewarded players Friday with a return of $4,690.80.
 
The popular wager, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout and $100,000 guaranteed pool, featured races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Golden Gate Fields.
