Pimlico’s Mandatory Payouts Monday to be Broadcast Live in Spanish

BALTIMORE – Popular Spanish broadcasters and analysts Alfredo Alfonzo, Pedro Casella and Claudia Spadaro will preview and broadcast the mandatory payouts of the Rainbow 6, Late Pick 5 and Late Pick 4 Monday on the closing day of the Preakness Meet at Pimlico Race Course.

The live broadcasts can be seen on Pimlico.com and GulfstreamPark.com.

Alfonzo and Casella will preview the Rainbow 6, which begins with Pimlico’s fourth race, between 12:15-12:30 p.m. The six races will then be broadcast live with Alfonzo and Casella in studio and Spadaro from the paddock.

There is a Rainbow 6 carryover of nearly $280,000 going into Sunday’s program at Pimlico as well as a Late Pick 5 carryover of $8,100.

Alfonzo founded the popular VideoHipico in 2006, a website and social media agency dedicated to promote horse racing. A native of Venezuela, Alfonzo is also a partner in My Social House, a premier digital marketing agency in Fort Lauderdale. Alfonzo has handicapped Gulfstream’s races for the Spanish audience for more than a year at GulfstreamPark.com.

Casella’s race calls are some of the most exciting you will hear, rivaling Andres Cantor in the world of professional soccer. Casella, who holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism, is a native of Venezuela and is founder and CEO of “Redes de Campeones,” a public relations company specializing in horse racing.

Spadaro is a recent graduate from the University of Miami in broadcast journalism and public relations. Spadaro, whose family has been involved in Thoroughbred racing for a number of years, has worked the Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1), Preakness (G1) and Clasico del Caribe.
