Live Racing from Brazil Offered Sundays & Mondays in May
BALTIMORE – For the first time since the state’s live racing was paused in mid-March, the Maryland Jockey Club will begin offering Latin America Racing Channel simulcasting beginning Sunday, May 3.
Full card LARC simulcasts from Hipodromo da Gavea in Brazil are scheduled from 12:30 to 8 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays in May, starting May 3 and 4 and continuing May 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31.
Brazil recently approved the return of live racing in May at Hipodromo da Gavea, built in 1926 and located in a neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.

The MJC plans to expand the LARC calendar as more Latin American tracks begin to approve the return of live racing.
Laurel will serve as host track for the LARC simulcast May 3, with Pimlico Race Course taking over as host track beginning May 4. Laurel will return as host track May 31.
