LAUREL, MD – There were 37 winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5, each worth $11,291.80.

The sequence began with Gulfstream’s sixth race and Arindel’s 2-year-old homebred Rain ($7.40) winning by 6 ½ lengths. After Beach Diva ($20.80) won the second leg of the Stronach 5 from Laurel, Uncontainable ($13.20) was placed first in Golden Gate’s third race, the fourth race of the sequence, after I Declare War was disqualified from first. Gulfstream’s eighth race was the final leg of the sequence, won by even-money favorite Animal Trick ($4.20).

The Stronach 5 had a total pool of $462,447.

• Leg Two – Laurel Park 8th Race – Beach Diva $20.80
• Leg Three –Laurel Park 9th Race – Junior Senator $5.40
• Leg Four –Golden Gate 3rd Race – Uncontainable $13.20
• Leg Five – Gulfstream Park 8th Race – Animal Trick $4.20

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
