Baltimore Ravens Kicker Justin Tucker Spends The Afternoon At Pimlico To Promote Next Month's Preakness Stakes
BALTIMORE, 04-17-14---With the $1.5 million Preakness Stakes (G1) just 30 days away, Baltimore Ravens All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker returned to Pimlico Race Course this afternoon to shoot additional commercials promoting the middle jewel of racing’s Triple Crown.
In the first humorous video, released on social media two weeks ago, https://youtu.be/qdHJGq29kaU, Tucker causes trouble and has to relinquish his tickets to the May 17 event. Fans have a chance to win Tucker’s tickets by submitting a creative picture or video to the Preakness InfieldFest Instagram @Infieldfest, using #Shameless4IFF, for the chance to score the tickets. The first place finisher will receive four tickets to the new Mug & Vine section. The second and third place finishers each earn two Infieldfest tickets.
The security guard in the initial video submitted an entry to attempt to win the tickets https://youtu.be/pJCiPhy30tk
This afternoon, Tucker learned how to handicap races from racing analyst Gabby Gaudet, spent time with track announcer Dave Rodman before calling the fourth race from the roof, visited the starting gate and answered phone calls in the Preakness ticket office. The next spot is expected to be launched before the end of the month.
“We are having a good time,” Tucker said. “This is a Baltimore event. This is as Baltimore as you can get. You have people from the city, county and elsewhere coming in from all over for a big party. It comes together for quite an event. Last year was my first time at a horse race so to be part of it from the inside out this time is completely different but a whole lot of fun.”
2014 Preakness InfieldFest will be headlined by Grammy winner Lorde. Switchfoot, Eli Young Band, Sundy Best and Go Go Gadjet will perform on the Jägermeister stage.
