LAUREL, MD – There were 53 winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5 with each ticket worth $1,837.70.

Friday’s sequence began with two races at Laurel Park. Zitarrosa ($7.40) won the opening leg of the Stronach 5 and Mice and Men ($12.60) the second leg. After heavy favorite Slingin Sammy B ($3.40) won the third leg from Gulfstream, 11-1 shot Bandito ($25.40) lit up the board at Laurel in the fourth leg. The final leg, a scratch-filled affair from Gulfstream taken off the turf, was won by 1-5 favorite Vinnie Van Go.

• Leg One – Laurel Park 8th Race – Zitarrosa $7.40
• Leg Two –Laurel Park 9th Race – Mice and Men $12.60
• Leg Three –Gulfstream Park 8th Race– Slingin Sammy B $3.40
• Leg Four – Laurel Park 10th Race – Bandito $25.40
• Leg Five –Gulfstream 9th Race–  Vinnie Van Go $2.60

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
