Formful Stronach 5 Yields Multiple $617.80 Payoffs

BALTIMORE – The Stronach 5 returned multiple payoffs of $617.80 following a rather formful sequence Friday.

The Stronach 5, the multi-race, multi-track wager that features an industry-low 12 percent takeout, offered a sequence with three straight races from Gulfstream Park, followed by two from Golden Gate Fields. There were 146 tickets that correctly selected all five winners.

The Stronach 5, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, will begin with three consecutive races from Gulfstream before concluding with two from Golden Gate.

BALTIMORE – With favorites winning three of the five races, Friday’s Stronach 5 returned $717.70. There were 144 winning tickets.

The Stronach 5 featured races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Golden Gate Fields as well as an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

BALTIMORE – Races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Golden Gate Fields, along with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, will highlight Friday’s Stronach 5.

The multi-track wager continues to show a strong return on investment. Last week’s Stronach 5, with three of the five winners returning $7 or less, had 42 winning tickets with each worth $2,752.

Live Racing Returns to Laurel Thursday

BALTIMORE – Beginning with Preakness (G1) weekend in mid-May at Pimlico Race Course and concluding the day after Christmas at Laurel Park, Maryland racetracks will host 20 of 24 races in the newly configured Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred Championship (MATCH) Series for 2021.

The MATCH Series, which has proved popular with horsemen since returning to the racing calendar in 2018 following a 16-year hiatus, was shelved in 2020 amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that also threatened a 2021 return.
