Graded Winners Look to Get on Track in $150,000 Gallorette

Turf Stakes First of Seven Graded Events on Preakness Day Program Oct. 3
 
BALTIMORE – Juliet Foxtrot and Varenka, graded winners in 2019, will seek their first stakes score this season in the $150,000 Gallorette (G3) Saturday, Oct. 3 at Pimlico Race Course.
 
A field of eight fillies and mares was entered in the 1 1/16-mile Gallorette on grass, the second on a 12-race all-stakes Preakness Day program, and the first of seven graded events. First race post time is 11 a.m.

BALTIMORE – With his Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert watching Monday morning at Churchill Downs, Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Authentic turned in his final timed workout for Saturday’s Preakness Stakes (G1) at Pimlico Race Course, covering four furlongs in 47.60 seconds.

In addition to guaranteed berths in the Claiming Crown, the Pimlico prep race winners will receive travel subsidies to the event to be held at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, Dec. 5.
